Grad Student Loan Le has been named a “Rising Star in EECS” by the University of California at Berkeley. She will participate in a workshop in Berkeley in November along with 40 other graduate students and postdocs where she will present her work. Her research has focused on Ultra-Broad Gain Quantum Cascade Lasers.  She is advised by Prof. Claire Gmachl.  This workshop brings together women who are interested in careers in academia, for two days of scientific interactions and career-oriented discussions.
