The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering's Climate and Inclusion Committee hopes that all members of the department enjoy coming to the Engineering Quadrangle every day and interacting with each other as colleagues. The electrical and computer engineering community is broad in just about every dimension, from research interest to cultural background and identity.
The ECE Climate and Inclusion Committee recognizes that within our community, not everyone may feel welcome and appreciated and some may face challenges that inhibit their ability to reach their full potential. These challenges may disproportionately affect those from underrepresented backgrounds, including but not limited to race, color, sex, gender identity and expression, sexuality, socioeconomic background, disability, religion, age, or academic background. Our goal is to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all members of our community.
Two things to know about what we can do:
- We want to hear your ideas on how the ECE climate can be improved, whether it involves hosting an event, organizing a meeting, collecting data, or addressing specific concerns.
- We are your advocates. We will seek out the resources and people who can help. When contacting committee members, please recognize that faculty and staff have legal obligations to report sexual misconduct concerns that fall under Title IX to University administrators.

Employee Resource Groups (ERG)
These volunteer, employee-led organizations are comprised of professionals from across the University who come together based on shared interests and/or identities. ERGs work to create a more inclusive environment and sense of belonging within the University while also remaining engaged with external communities. Employee Resource Groups (requires login)
